Character Education

Hear Us "RAWR"!

The school is assembled in the gym. A girl holds a spotlight pointing to people seated on benches in front of the crowd.

At Muriel Martin, we practice the four core values of our character education program called "Hear Us RAWR!".

These core values of ResponsibilityAchieving ExcellenceWinning Attitude and Respect will be featured and reinforced at our regular school-wide assemblies.

Approximately every six weeks, one core value is featured at a school-wide assembly. Through song, dance, art, drama and video presentations students share the importance of developing healthy attitudes and values and how to achieve and practice them in their school, family and community settings.

Dino Draws also help to highlight our character education program by recognizing students who model and practice our core values. Each week, draws are made and students whose names are chosen receive a Dino Bookmark and have their good deeds shared over morning announcements. At our school-wide assemblies "I'm a leader..." t-shirts are awarded to various students who exemplify our values. Also, integrated into our program is service learning where students are actively involved in service projects and charities that support our local, national and global communities.
